LICHFL partners with CSC to provide loans through over 4,000,000 entrepreneurs at village level


LIC Housing Finance Ltd (LICHFL) and CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd (CSC) have entered into a strategic partnership to provide loans to citizens through CSC’s network of over four lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).

Through this partnership, VLEs will be able to benefit from a range of LICHFL loans such as home loans; loans for active or retired employees entitled to a pension; residential land loan; Griha Suvidha for workers in the private sector or the self-employed; and loan on property and complementary loan.

Required documents

To avail these loans, customers can approach their nearest CSC office with KYC documents such as PAN card, Aadhaar or driver’s license, passport and proof of residency; income documents such as payslips, computer statements and bank statements; and ownership documents like proof of ownership, tax receipts, among others, LICHFL and CSC said in a joint statement.

Dinesh Kumar Tyagi, Managing Director of CSC, said, “Our partnership with LIC Housing will help us reach the younger generation aspiring to own a home not only in urban but also rural areas. Additionally, CSC will help LIC Housing overcome last mile connectivity issues and create structured financial information for various lending products in rural areas.
