FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI) has initiated a documentation process in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to facilitate obtaining a loan under the scheme Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar, Prime Minister Kamyab Jawan’s program and subsidized loans for women entrepreneurs. Mrs. Nighat Shahid, President FWCCI. She was addressing the “Session for Loan Documentation Process for Funding Schemes” organized by FWCCI in conjunction with SBP here on Saturday.
She appreciated the cooperation of SBP and said the purpose of today’s session is to facilitate documentation requests and get the loan under Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar Scheme, Prime Minister Kamyab Scheme Jawan and the subsidized loan for women entrepreneurs.
She said a huge untapped potential exists among women doing both small and medium-scale home-based businesses that need to grow. Women have proven themselves in business. “They have to facilitate,” she added.
She said repeated sessions will bring the desired results and fewer people will have their own homes. She said that. The Prime Minister and President of Pakistan are showing so much support to entrepreneurs by launching subsidized schemes like Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar which allows the low income segment to finance their own homes from 680 sq ft to 2720 sq ft and also the Kamyab Jawan scheme of the PM which encourages the young generation to become entrepreneurs where young people between the ages of 21 and 45 can benefit from this financing facility under 3 different levels.
The FWCCI President also informed that we have trained two women for the documentation and filing of loan approval application.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Akbar, Co-Senior Director, SBP Banking Services Faisalabad, said that their working strategy has evolved towards better change, namely that we involve participating banks in meetings at public forums so that loans can be mobilized in their true sense and speed. He assured that we will facilitate the documentation of loan seekers coming to FWCCI and also inform about missing documents, we will continue to follow up the cases so that they can be implemented for loan approval.
He further stated that repeat sessions will be scheduled at the FWCCI in this context. FWCCI could invite the SBP sub-government and it will try to mature the visit. In addition, he said that a help desk will be established at FWCCI to assist applicants seeking documentation and loans under government and SBP funding schemes who will work here four days a week. and 2 hours a day. This helpdesk will be managed by 2 focal points from SBP and 2 from FWCCI. He also advised bank officials to take documents from applicants as much as possible and facilitate others as well. He also informed that female staff will increase from 06% to 20% by 2024.
